Piercing ceremony of one year old baby boy in Gurgaon
When money takes the back seat, it’s a “pleasure” to see people happy.
I had the honour to attend the ritual piercing ceremony of a baby boy, who is yet to turn 1 year old in few days.
I performed the piercing, which left me with mixture of many emotion and experience which I will attempt to share through this blog.
I was reached by one of the parent a week in advance. They intimated they are looking for someone who can come to their place and perform the piercing of thier a year old child.
Though I did piecings for children before also, but still had my few questions which they answered. Few phone call were exchanged and I was ready to take this appointment.
I had to travel from Delhi to Gurgaon, 28KM from my home, that on Monday mornning office hours time, but very true to my nature, I was there 10 minutes before to my scheduled time.
First sight of the event itself was so heartwarming, I realized it was more than just a normal piercing occasion, atleast for me.
It was a family from Southern India, Tamil I could easily makeout from the language. Beeing me spent 2 years in South, I’m pretty much familiar with few words, like when one of the family member said me ‘ukkaringe’ and other mentioned him to say ‘have seat’.

In family gathering of 20 or more, I had to do piercing at the ‘pooja place’, so I requested for a small table and made setup with all disposable stuff-cover etc.
All was good, with only difficult part that little child was not comfortable. Will surely share my thougts and challenges I faced on other blog. This post is more about the big day of that small little Angel “Aadhvik”.

Did this both earlobe piercing to a teenage girl. It was again a special day for the family. Did this piercing at home, family member were very happy on this occasion.
